Artist/ designer Claire Jane Johnson is known for her acrylic paintings created with a modern realistic style to suit any decorating style.
Born and raised in Glenburnie near Mount Gambier in South Australia and currently residing in a country area near Millicent SA.
Claire's representational pieces are calming and inspiring based on nature appreciation, self-love and confidence to nurture mental health based on her past experience with an anxiety disorder and depression.
Claire Jane Johnson, is an emerging presence in the South Australian art scene. She has exhibited and placed in the South East Art Society Open Art Awards at the Riddoch Art Gallery in Mount Gambier as well as being showcased in various other galleries in the area including the Millicent Art Gallery.
Claire has won multiple awards across local art exhibitions, including a People's Choice Award, the Emerging Artist Award, second place in acrylic painting, and has been highly commended in the 2D category three times.
Her private collectors are all over Australia.
She has completed two significant mural projects: one for the Mount Gambier RSL, in collaboration with school children and currently on display, and another for a small primary school.
Claire has a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration and Design from Adelaide, South Australia. She also holds a Cert III in Commercial Arts and Graphic Design.
Her passion for art and design also includes studying Surface Pattern Design which allows her to sell pattern files on Shutterstock, home décor, fabric, and wallpaper through online stores Redbubble and Spoonflower.
Claire also enjoys baking, jogging down a country road and spending time with her husband and two children.
